The climate of Lagos is tropical savanna like climate throughout the year. The best time to visit Lagos is between November and May when the temperature is moderate with less rainfall then the rest of the year.

Lagos has some of the best sights worth visiting. The National Museum in Lagos has the largest collection of artifacts from Nigeria and is considered one of the best worth seeing museums in Africa. National Museum has the National Theatre which is another gallery which houses most of the modern Nigerian art, Nigerian crafts and African arts. Tafawa Balewa Square is Lagos’ commercial heart and has some of the best monuments. They include the gargantuan horses, memorials for the WW1, WW2 and Civil War victims and the Independence House built in 1963.
